The Miami River District in Downtown Miami is about to get a lot more luxurious with Faena Residences Miami at 90 SW 3rd Street. A new partnership between Alan Faena, Fortune International and Shahab Karmely’s KAR Properties is set to bring a new 14-acre Faena Cultural District to the Miami River area.
Designed by Rafael Viñoly Architects, the project begins with a redesign of One River Point, which gained headway in 2015. The redesigned project is set to bring 440 residences to the area in twin riverfront towers that are each 60 floors at 90 SW 3rd Street, along the Miami River Walk.
Connecting the two towers will be a two story sky bridge with Faena-designed amenities spanning 45,000 square feet. This will serve as the cultural epicenter of the project, according to a statement.
“Building on the legacy we established in Miami Beach, our vision for this project is to create a community rooted in our core values-blending artistic expression, cultural immersion, wellness, and innovative design. This new Faena District on the Miami River embodies the true essence of Faena in one of Miami’s most vibrant neighborhoods, offering Miami’s first fully resident-centric design aimed at enhancing well-being and elevating the experience of happiness,” said Alan Faena in a statement.
The globally acclaimed lifestyle brand from Argentina has already reshaped a previously blighted section of Miami Beach into a thriving and luxurious cultural district with Faena House at the epicenter. Ken Griffin has is among the elite residents, with his purchase of the $60 million penthouses.
The development team anticipates that sales and marketing will be open in time for Art Basel, in about a month.
